Plagiarism Screening Policy

Plagiarism Screening Policy

The journal is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published articles. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening to identify potential similarities with previously published works and other available sources. This policy aims to prevent plagiarism, duplicate publication, and inappropriate reuse of scholarly material while promoting responsible research and publication practices.

Plagiarism Screening Process

Submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software or other appropriate similarity-checking tools. The screening process compares manuscript content against available scholarly publications, online materials, and other accessible sources. Similarity reports are used to assist the editorial team in identifying passages that may require further examination. The screening results are evaluated in context and are not interpreted solely on the basis of a similarity percentage.

Similarity Assessment and Threshold

The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20% for submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts should have a similarity index of no more than 20% based on the plagiarism screening report. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the extent and nature of the similarities identified. Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts, provide appropriate citations, and ensure that all sources are properly acknowledged before resubmission. The similarity index is not the sole basis for determining plagiarism; the editorial team also examines the context of matching text, including quotations, references, standard terminology, and properly attributed material, when making its decision.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts represent original work and that all ideas, data, quotations, figures, tables, and other materials obtained from external sources are properly acknowledged and cited. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use copyrighted material when required. Manuscripts must not contain unattributed copying, inappropriate paraphrasing, fabricated references, or substantial reuse of previously published work without proper disclosure and justification.

Handling Suspected Plagiarism

If potential plagiarism or another form of publication misconduct is identified, the editor may request an explanation or revision from the authors, conduct further assessment, or seek additional expert advice when necessary. Depending on the severity and circumstances, the manuscript may be returned for correction or rejected. Suspected misconduct involving a published article may lead to further investigation and, where justified, a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.

Editorial Integrity and Confidentiality

Plagiarism screening is conducted as part of the journal's commitment to fair, transparent, and responsible editorial practice. Manuscripts and screening reports are handled confidentially and used for legitimate editorial assessment. Authors are expected to cooperate with requests for clarification and to provide accurate information regarding the originality, sources, and publication history of their work.

Through this Plagiarism Screening Policy, the journal seeks to protect the originality and credibility of scholarly publications. Authors are encouraged to review their manuscripts carefully, provide appropriate citations, and ensure that the similarity index does not exceed 20% before submission. All screening and editorial actions are conducted in accordance with the journal's applicable policies and publication ethics standards.
