JICE PUBLICATION POLICY & SCHEDULE

Publication Schedule & Early Online Publication

The Journal of Infrastructural in Civil Engineering (JICE), published by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, does not operate year-round rolling submissions. The journal maintains planned annual submission deadlines for its two regular issues, January and July, as shown below. The editorial office communicates any schedule changes through official announcements.

JICE applies an Early Online Publication practice only after the required editorial screening, double-blind peer review, revisions, acceptance, and production checks have been completed. Eligible articles or an issue may become publicly available before the designated issue month, without shortening or bypassing scholarly review.

How to read this schedule: Submission deadlines and review targets are planned milestones. A January or July issue may be made available online earlier, and individual articles may be added progressively, but only after completing all required editorial, peer-review, acceptance, and production steps. The date recorded for each article must reflect its actual first online publication.

01

Scheduled Manuscript Submissions

Annual manuscript submission deadlines are listed in the schedule above.

JICE does not operate a year-round rolling submission system. The planned manuscript submission deadlines are November 30 of the preceding year for the January issue and May 30 for the July issue. Any changes to these dates, including additional calls for papers, are communicated by the editorial office through official announcements.

Authors should check the current submission information before preparing their manuscripts for a particular issue. Submitting a manuscript within an announced period does not guarantee acceptance, a particular publication date, or placement in that issue. Editorial assessment and acceptance depend on manuscript quality and the required review procedures.

02

Editorial Screening and Peer Review

Scientific quality and independent evaluation take precedence over publication speed.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening for relevance, originality, ethical compliance, methodological suitability, and adherence to the journal's requirements. Manuscripts selected for review are assessed according to the Peer Review Process. Since February 2026, JICE has implemented double-blind peer review.

Review outcomes are communicated individually through OJS. December 20 (for the January issue) and June 20 (for the July issue) are indicative editorial planning targets, not guaranteed decision dates; peer review and necessary revisions take precedence over the schedule.

03

Early Online Publication Policy

Early access is possible only after the full publication process has been completed.

JICE may release a completed regular issue or individual articles online before the designated January or July issue month, where those publications are ready. Early online publication is intended to make validated research available promptly; it does not constitute early acceptance, an abbreviated review, or a guarantee of accelerated publication.

Only articles that have completed editorial screening, the applicable double-blind peer-review process, required revisions, final editorial acceptance, publication ethics checks, and production preparation may be made publicly available as final scholarly publications. Articles may be added to an already available issue after they independently satisfy those requirements.

The January or July designation remains the regular issue label. It need not coincide with the date on which an article or issue was first made publicly available online. This publication practice does not change the journal's twice-yearly issue frequency.

04

Publication Dates, DOI Registration and Bibliographic Records

Recorded dates and identifiers must represent actual publication events.

The online publication date recorded for an issue or article should reflect when the relevant content was first made publicly available. Where articles appear on different dates, their individual publication records may differ from the initial online release date of the issue.

JICE seeks to maintain accurate volume, number, year, article metadata, and DOI records where assigned. Existing publication dates should not be changed merely to match the designated January or July month.

Where the term In Press is used, JICE will distinguish manuscripts accepted but awaiting final publication from articles already publicly available online. The status label should accurately describe the publication stage and does not replace publication-date information.

DOI registration is coordinated through the university's institutional publication administration. JICE seeks prompt registration and verification of article DOIs. Where the date of DOI registration differs from the actual first online publication date, the original publication date remains unchanged. Registered DOI metadata should be updated when necessary, using the existing DOI.

Information for Authors

Submission periods and deadlines are communicated through JICE's official channels. Authors should consult the submission requirements and current journal announcements before submitting.

Editorial commitment: JICE maintains planned submission deadlines and two regular issue designations. Early online publication is permitted only after full scholarly assessment and the necessary production checks. Review-result targets never override the requirements of double-blind peer review or justify premature acceptance.
