Journal History

JOURNAL DEVELOPMENT

Publishing Milestones

The Journal of Infrastructural in Civil Engineering (JICE) continues to develop its publishing platform and editorial policies to support transparent, accessible, and rigorous scholarly communication. The milestones below summarize key changes in the journal's publication process.

JULY 2026

Introduction of Article Processing Charges

Beginning with Volume 7, Issue 2 (July 2026), JICE introduced an article processing charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. The applicable fee is based on the author's category:

Indonesian authors: IDR 350,000 per article

International authors: USD 20 per article

See the Publication Fees page for the journal's current fee policy.

FEBRUARY 2026

Adoption of Double-Blind Peer Review

Effective February 2026, JICE replaced its previous single-blind review system with a double-blind peer review process. Under this approach, authors' and reviewers' identities are concealed from each other during manuscript evaluation to support impartial and independent scholarly assessment.

Further details are available in the Peer Review Process policy.

2025

Migration from OJS 2 to OJS 3

Beginning with the publication of Volume 6, Issue 2 (2025), JICE transitioned from Open Journal Systems (OJS) 2 to OJS 3 to support its editorial and online publishing workflow.

Authors can access the journal and submit manuscripts through the current JICE website.

HISTORICAL ARCHIVE | LEGACY OJS 2

Legacy JICE Website: Historical Publications

JICE's former publishing website contains historical journal records from the OJS 2 platform. The journal is coordinating with the university's technical administration regarding temporary access for archival consultation and verification during the journal re-accreditation process.

Access to the legacy website is subject to institutional authorization, technical maintenance, and security review, and may be limited or temporarily unavailable. The current JICE platform remains the official website for new submissions and editorial activities.

Note: The legacy link is intended for consultation of historical publications only. Please use the current JICE website for manuscript submission and up-to-date journal information.
